Welcome to Knowmad! By using our app, you agree to these terms. Knowmad helps remote workers find places to work, with community-contributed reviews and workspace details.
1. User-Generated Reviews
You may submit reviews of businesses you've visited. By submitting a review, you:
Confirm the review is based on your genuine experience
Grant Knowmad permission to display your review publicly
Agree not to post false, misleading, offensive, or objectionable content
Acknowledge that Knowmad may remove reviews that violate these terms
2. Aggregated Data & Recommendations
Knowmad uses aggregated review data to generate recommendations for remote work locations. Your individual preferences and reviews contribute to our matching to help all users find suitable workspaces.
3. Wi-Fi Information Guidelines
Users may share Wi-Fi network names and passwords in reviews. By sharing Wi-Fi information, you confirm that:
The network is intended for customer use (e.g., posted publicly in the establishment)
You are not sharing private, employee-only, or restricted network credentials
Sharing private network information may result in account review or suspension
4. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including but not limited to: posting false reviews, sharing private Wi-Fi credentials, or engaging in abusive behavior toward other users.
5. Community Rules
To keep Knowmad useful and trustworthy for everyone, all users must follow these community rules.
A. Review integrity
Only review places you have personally visited and worked from
Report accurate conditions — do not inflate or deflate ratings to harm or promote a business
Do not submit duplicate or coordinated reviews (e.g., review exchanges)
B. Wi-Fi safety and privacy
Share only Wi-Fi credentials that are publicly available or intended for customer use
Do not share private, employee-only, or secured network details
Do not use the Wi-Fi field to test or probe network security
C. Harassment and conduct
Do not use reviews or responses to harass, threaten, or defame any person or business
Avoid hate speech, discriminatory language, or personal attacks
Do not include another person's personal information in a review or response
D. Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
Knowmad has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You can report any review or block its author directly from the review's "⋯" menu in the app.
Reported content is reviewed and, where it violates these rules, removed — typically within 24 hours
Blocking a user immediately hides their reviews and content from you; you can manage blocks in Settings
Knowmad may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend accounts at its discretion
Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent account termination
Work preferences: Industry, remote work frequency, preferred locations
Reviews: Ratings, comments, and workspace attributes you submit
Usage data: App interactions for improving recommendations
Location data: Only when you grant permission, to show nearby places

To display your reviews to other users
To improve our matching using aggregated data
To communicate important updates about the service
What We Don't Do
We do not sell your personal information to third parties
We do not share your email or phone number with other users
We do not track your location when the app is not in use
We do not track you across other apps or websites
Your Rights
Request a copy of your data
Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and removes your profile, reviews, check-ins, and saved spots.
Update or correct your profile information at any time
